What's your opinion on the "It's not my job to educate you" response to questions regarding social justice & activism?
I get it but it’s shitty. Why?
Because they bothered to jump in the conversation but were too lazy to bring their argument.
If you don’t want to tell people *why* you’re right, then you and your ego stay out of the conversation. I think it’s very selfish to want to hop in and tell everyone ‘K BUT U WRONG DOE” and get that satisfaction but then cop out when someone says “Alright but can you explain why?”
It’s just cheap and immature.
If no one person educated another the whole world would be ignorant.
in short, fuck tumblr’s attitudes about “grades don’t matter” and “i’m offended because someone is breathing” and “it’s cool to be apathetic and hate everything” because the world doesn’t fucking cater to you guys, you pretentious assholes who expect everything in life to be sugar coated to y’all and you’re gonna have to grow up sometime
What I mean:You are one of the best friends I've ever had. The level on which we connect baffles me. I'm so so happy that I can share my interests, secrets, guilt, faults, joys, and insecurities with you in confidence and receive encouragement to improve and keep being better, and I'm comfortable with the ease with which I can reciprocate those feelings and that support to you as well. We make a great team and I'm really fortunate to have you in my life.
In its most literal definition, there is no one I cannot see that I might want to see. Thanks to the wonder of the internet, anyone in the world, just about, that I might want to see, I can.
Who would I like to see in a concert? I’d like to see Kyary Pamyu Pamyu.
Who would I like to see in person and talk to? There’s a few people that fit that. Several tumblr users come to mind. My internet daughters(please do not ask me to explain “internet daughters,” I really don’t feel like discussing that story) are also on the list of people I want to see. I get to see my family on Thursday and I’m looking forward to seeing all of them because I love my family.
Let’s make this interesting. What about you? Who do you want to see?
